Should I uninstall the old version of IObit software in order to install the new version?

You do not need to uninstall the older version before installing the new one. A new version can be installed over the top of the previous one. However, if you want to uninstall the previous version, please go through the steps below:

Find IObit software and click it
Then click Uninstall.

When you are prompted to confirm the removal of the program, click Yes to finish the removal process.

Do I need to register to get the PRO version?

1. We provide Work Mode, Game Mode, and Economy Mode for you.

2. Click each label name Mode, System Services, Non-Windows Services, Background Apps, and Other Settings, tick the items you want to disable, and then click Boost button to turn on Turbo Boost.

If you want to turn on Turbo Boost at Windows startup to keep it always boosting your PC, please tick the option Turn on Turbo Boost at Windows startup under Other Settings label before you click the Boost button. Or you can select Turn On & Enable Auto Start under the Turn On button.

What does Advanced SystemCare back up and restore?

Advanced SystemCare has the most advanced and convenient backup and recovery technology. It will automatically back up all registry related changes, Internet Boost changes, and Startup Optimization changes.

If some unwanted registry related changes are made by Advanced SystemCare, click Options icon on the top left and click Rescue Center, select one backup and then click Undo Changes button to restore those changes.

If some unwanted changes are made by Internet Boost, please click Rescue all Internet Boost changes link to restore those changes.

If some unwanted changes are made by Registry Defrag, please click Rescue Registry Defrag from the left panel and click Rescue all Registry Defrag Changes link to restore those changes.

If some unwanted changes are made by Startup Optimization, please click Startup Optimization from the left panel, select one backup and then click Restore button to restore the changes.

How do I ignore the items scanned out by Registry Clean module?

1) Click Registry entries under Summary to check the items in detail on the scan result screen

2) Right click on the item you want to ignore

3) Select Ignore

In the result window, the list of problems does not add up to the number under Attention. Why is that?

It happens because Junk files show results in size rather than quantity under Summary. There are two types of statistic counting methods, Quantity and Size. Please click Junk files item under Summary to check the detailed information. You will read XX items, XX Byte/KB/MB next to each category bar. Adding the quantity for all items together will match the Quantity shown under Attention.

What is FaceID and how to use FaceID?

FaceID is designed to automatically catch intruders who are secretly accessing your PC with new facial recognition technology.

A camera is required to turn on this protection. If there is no camera connected to your desktop or you do not enable the webcam on your notebook, it will show you “No camera detected”. Once the camera is connected, if you are a new user or have not used this protection before, you need to install the protection first, and then turn it on to get started. Please follow the steps below to turn on FaceID, or click here to view the instructions with screenshots.

1) Tick the option “I agree to the privacy statement” after reading the privacy statement and then click Get Started to start creating your face model.

2) During the process of creating your face model, please keep looking directly at your camera and make sure your face is in the frame.

3) After it finishes, click the OK button to turn on FaceID.

If someone accesses your computer secretly, his/her photo and login time will be recorded automatically by FaceID. Then you can check who accessed your computer in Intruders. If you know or trust him/her, you can click Trust text link to mark him/her as your trusted visitor or click the Delete text link to delete him/her.

How to solve the “No camera detected” issue?

When your connected camera isn’t recognized by FaceID, you can try the following steps to solve the issue:

1. If you are using an integrated camera, make sure that the power of your camera is turned on. You can refer to the user manual of your laptop to turn on your camera.

2. If you are connecting a webcam to your PC, please do the following steps:

1) Disconnect and reconnect your webcam, or reconnect it with a different USB port (USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port) on your PC.

2) Disconnect other unused USB devices if any.

3) Check your antivirus software and make sure it does not block access or permission to use your webcam.

4) Uninstall your webcam driver and scan for hardware changes.

Open Device Manager, right click on your webcam, and then select Properties > Select the Driver tab and select Uninstall > Delete the driver software for this device and select OK >On the Action menu, select Scan for hardware changes. Wait for it to scan and reinstall updated drivers, and restart your PC to see if it works.

5) If your webcam works properly with other apps like MSN, Skype, etc, but only cannot work with FaceID, please contact us for assistance.

There are two methods to add a file / folder into the Whitelist.

Please note that all the items in the Whitelist will be skipped in real-time protection and when you perform a scan.

How can I take advantage of Quarantine function of Advanced SystemCare Ultimate?

In case of any false positives, all the threats found out by Advanced SystemCare Ultimate will be removed to the Quarantine when the option Quarantine threats when removing them is ticked. When there is a false positive, you can easily restore the quarantined file from the Quarantine List to its original location. You can also delete the infected file permanently from the computer by clicking Delete if it is not a false positive.

I have killed some apps, but they are there when I run Booster again.

Some apps will be reloaded by Android System after being killed. It doesn’t mean that our program failed to kill these apps. However, it is still recommended that you use Booster to kill running apps as it releases RAM and optimizes your device during the killing process. You can use Power Booster to kill the auto-starting apps to avoid this.

How can I recover the backed up information?

We are sorry that AMC Security has no Backup feature since version 5.0. All your records are safely backed up on IObit Cloud Server. Please log into your account in AMC, and then you can find Restore backup feature in the sidebar of AMC and get all your backups.

Why Game Speeder does not recognize all the games installed on my device?

AMC Security has a function Call/SMS Blocker which helps you block those unwanted phone calls. Check this feature as steps below:

Load AMC Security -> Tap Call/SMS Blocker at the sidebar-> Tap Options icon at the top right -> Tap Block List -> Add phone number to block from contacts, call logs, and SMS logs or add manually.

Also, AMC Security offers three block modes for you and you can tap Block Mode in the Options to select one according to your needs.

Note: The SMS cannot be blocked on Android 4.4 and above due to Android permission restriction.

Please note that files / folders are not stored in Protected Folder. Protected Folder only applies actions of Hide, Deny Read Access, and Deny Write Access to those files / folders.

Once you reinstall the whole system, the files / folders protected by Protected Folder will be restored to their original directory if these files / folders are not originally stored in C:. If they were stored in C: before you protect them with Protected Folder, they will be wiped as well as Protected Folder.

Will the files / folders still be locked by Protected Folder if I reinstall it?

No, if you reinstall Protected Folder at any case, all files / folders (except those originally stored in C:) protected by it will be put into their original directory. You need to drag and drop them into Protected Folder again to get protection.

Why are there so many unmovable blocks?

There are two reasons for it.

One is that there is not enough continuous free space in your disk to replace the files during the defragment process. You can move some large files to another disk, and then try to defrag the selected disk again.

Second reason is that some small sized files are currently being used by other programs while using Smart Defrag. Thus, Smart Defrag can not move them. You can defrag again later.

What can I do when Smart Defrag detects my HDD as SSD?

Please click the arrow button near the disk type to remark the disk type from SSD to HDD or from SSD to HDD manually.

Why did my computer slow down after updating drivers?

When you boot your computer for the first time after updating drivers, the system has to load the new drivers which consume large amounts of computer performance, so the computer is slow. But it will be back to normal when you reboot later.

How to ignore some driver updates?

Please click the arrow down button at the right side of a driver line or right click the device column in the scan result list, choose Ignore in the drop-down menu and click Yes. Then the ignored device won’t be checked for driver updating until you remove it from the Ignored list in Settings as below:

Open Driver Booster -> Click Option icon on the top left -> Select Settings... -> Click Ignored at left panel -> Tick the device you want to remove at the right panel -> Click the Recover button at the left bottom -> Click Yes.

Why are so many devices marked as Unplugged?
