Misleading:The program reports false or exaggerated system security threats on the computer.The user is then prompted to pay for a full license of the application in order to remove the threats. WiniShield is a rogue anti-spyware program. It will be configured to execute at windows startup automatically. Once started, it will perform a scan and then show you exaggerated scan results to state that your computer is infected with numerous infections that you cannot remove unless you purchase the program. There will be constant barrage of fake security alerts and fake Windows Security Center, that will state your computer does not have adequate protection and implying that Microsoft suggests that you should purchase WiniShield. If you are under attack of such rogue program, remove it ASAP. |
