Rogue:The program reports false or exaggerated system security threats on the computer.The user is then prompted to pay for a full license of the application in order to remove the threats. PC Scout is a clone of recent Active Security malware. There are no differences between these two frauds except for the name. Avoid installing PCScout on your computer voluntarily. It is usually installed secretly by trojans and it??s also distributed via malicious websites. It modifies registry entries to load itself every time the infected computer boots up. This makes PC Scout difficult to escape and difficult to remove. It creates a bunch of useless files upon installation and later offers deleting them as they were malicious. The removal is of course paid; this is the way PCScout tricks people into giving their money away. |
