Misleading:The program reports false or exaggerated system security threats on the computer.The user is then prompted to pay for a full license of the application in order to remove the threats. GreatDefender is presented by the same crowd that created APCProtect, ProtectPcs and SysDefence. Great Defender is a fraudulent tool just like the aforementioned applications. GreatDefender is distributed via fraudulent websites and it also spreads with help of trojans. Its appearance tricks people into taking the program as a security tool. GreatDefender is not able to function as anti-spyware or anti-virus. It mimics actions of security programs to intimidate people into purchasing the fraud. Do not trust warnings displayed by Great Defender. |
