Malware:A generic name for all types of malicious programs: adware, backdoors, rogues, trojans, viruses and worms.
Braviax, also known as Cru629 or Braviax.exe, is a file name that appears on the fake warning message found on the system tray that is either generated by the creators of the rogue System Defender program or by hackers that are promoting System Defender and other rogue anti-spyware programs. The alert with Braviax is intended to trick you into buying a commercial version of System Defender. The fake Braviax warning message may state:
"WARNING! SystemDefender has detected 52 SPYWARE objects on your computer! Malicious objects found on your computer, if not cleaned immediately, are likely to lead to: - Window slowdowns, freezes, and crashes - Computer unpredictable or erratic behavior - Your internet surfing privacy violation - Your local and online access passwords theft".
Once you click on the fake Braviax alert, you will be redirected to System Defender's homepage where you will be forced to buy the full version of this rogue anti-spyware program. Usually, Braviax.exe is displayed by a Trojan Zlob, which downloads and installs itself together with fake video codec, often found in porno web sites. We recommend the immediate removal of Trojan Zlob, Braviax.exe and System Defender, because they are a serious security risk to your computer. |
