Misleading:The program reports false or exaggerated system security threats on the computer.The user is then prompted to pay for a full license of the application in order to remove the threats. ACommander (also known as PCommander)is the latest malicious rougue anti-spyware application from the Control Center family of rogueware. This fake security program is a clone of PCommander and typically distributed by Trojans that has been designed in order to coerce money out of unsuspecting computer users, by forcing them to purchase so-called full version of ACommander. As soon as ACommander has infiltrated a system successfully, it will generate its fake system scans, security alerts and pop-up warning in order to make the user believe that his/her PC is infected with malware. If your browser gets hijacked to a site promoting ACommander, do not click on anything and delete the URL. This useless ACommander should not be trusted and purchased either. Terminate this rogue application from the system by using an updated anti-spyware program. |
